Tips to Grow Your Blog Audience

Ok, so you’ve started a blog, but now you’re stuck on figuring out how to get people to read it. Although a good blog starts with the content, in order for it to be successful you must have an active audience.

Here are tips that can help you grow your audience and get a dedicated following:

Promote your content:

As much as you publish, make sure to get the word out that there is a new blog to read. It’s a great idea to link all your social media together: for example if you write a blog, you can make a pin of the blog on Pinterest to add it to Facebook and Twitter. It’s a simple and effective way to share your content across multiple channels.

Stay on schedule:

By publishing on a consistent schedule, your readers can learn the expectation that you’re publishing every Tuesday. They’ll be on the look out. Consistency is important because if readers like your content, they’ll look for more. If you don’t post new features regularly, readers will stop looking for it.

Have a comment section:

Comments are a great way to learn what you readers want and gives you an opportunity to connect with your audience and for them to connect with each other. It helps create a community, which brings people back for more. Make sure to keep up and respond to comments so that your readers know that you’re a real person and care about what they say!

Ask your audience for ideas:

By reading their comments, you may be able to find a lot of ideas for future posts. Not only does it take some of the work off you, but also the reader will feel involved. You can even create posts/polls throughout your social media channels to get an idea of what your followers there would like to read about

Creating content doesn’t get you results unless you have readers who engage with it. Following the helpful tips above and creating quality content will help your audience continue to grow!
