So I thought about doing something clever for April fools But, I quickly realized that my creative juices have been used up for the week and I came up with nothing so no April fools jokes here- however if you think about it Googles +1 might have been an April fools joke released two days early

What is Googles +1- well its Googles attempt to make search results more relevant.

First of all, the name is dumb but even once I get past that- and although its not completely fully function yet- the tests that I ran yesterday dont excite me.

The REAL problem I see here is if my network is going to influence me because I see that a good friend of mine +1ed something the only way I am going to see that is IF I am logged into Google and IF I can connected to them via Google. Right now I only have 7 contacts according to Google clearly I have a log way to go. But am I the only one? I dont think so- we are connecting on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social sites- but not Google. Googles buzz was a flop and unless they bring in your social circle from other social media sites, Im not sure how much of an impact this will have (yes, they are talking about bringing in Twitter now but even then, I think its Facebook you have to go after and I dont think that will happen). So we shall see, but at the moment- Im not excited or worried.

Next week expect your alerts to be a whole lot wiser as I turn a year older on Monday. Ok, so they wont be, but I hope you enjoy them just the same! :)
