SEO and SMM Alert- 12/10/10 Additio
Hello from BEAUTIFUL San Diego!
I’m here in San Diego for a TV shoot we’re doing with Arielle Ford over the next two days. After a very LONG day of flying and a VERY productive dinner with Nick, my father (who is also my business partner) and my mother (our official photographer for all our events) where we planned some SUPER exciting events for 2012/2013 (yes, we’re already planning that far out lol) we walked around the Gaslamp district and I remembered how much I LOVE this city!

"According to the YouTube blog, those users who have a history of complying with the YouTube Community Guidelines and copyright rules will no longer be constrained by the 15-minute upload limit. YouTube doesn’t specify how long the upload limit will be, just that users can click the "Upload" button at the top of the site to see their accounts qualify."
" Last week Rand Fishkin covered the new ways social media is impacting traditional SEO. While many SEOs had assumed this was happening already, this announcement marked the first time this new type of content endorsement (links within Facebook and Twitter) was actually confirmed as a ranking factor by search engines representatives. Although there has not yet been enough time to run a formal experiment on the impact of these type of content endorsements, I would like to get the ball rolling with an informal experiment that will both help start to answer the questions these changes have brought and at the same time promote the holiday spirit."

Good news for small businesses! Facebook "has dropped spending restrictions that were put in place on promotions last year. If you hadn’t bought at least $10,000 in Facebook ads, the company wouldn’t give you the written prior permission it required to run a promotion, whether it was a sweepstakes, contest, competition or other similar offering.
