WELCOME FROM LINDSAY GLASS

My sister and I have a lot of stuff. And I love my mother, but we do come by it honestly! Because at times our “collection” can be somewhat overwhelming (why else do I have a 3 car garage… it isn't for that 3rd car I can assure you!), we decided we would host a garage sale for all our “previously loved” items.

This past Saturday that is exactly what we did. The days leading up to the sale both my sister and I placed ads on Craigslist to get the word out… and at about 7:45am Saturday morning (we had said it would start at 8am) as we were still setting up, there was already a line of people anxiously waiting to view our items.

What continued to follow that day still amazes me… the, at times, overwhelming crowd of people looking at our “stuff,” the muffins and drinks we sold for $1 (the entire flat cost $6) and better yet, the little kids begging their parents for our previously loved toys reminded me that our economy isn't quite what the media portrays.

Who says people aren't spending? Our profit of just over $1,000 from our garage sale would certainly say differently...

So change your views and start selling… people will buy.
