Hello from Atlanta! :)

I flew up here last night to visit my two best friends for the weekend – a nice little girls weekend and to take a much needed break for a day or two! Hopefully the weather for the weekend cooperates with our plans!

Anyway, let’s get to it! Hope your week has been as productive as mine – below are this week’s alerts… but first…

Your Next ipad could be an iMac – YES!

Mashable’s 26 Essential Social Media Resources You May Have Missed

23 Awesome SEO Blogs Everyone Should Read
OK- so maybe not “everyone” :) … maybe just the “geeks” (or Chic Geek as I like to say) like me. HOWEVER, in a meeting with a potential client this week I got asked how I stay up-to-date with what’s going on “in the industry.” My answer: wonderful friends “in the business” and A LOT of reading and research. This list definitely is a great place to start if you’re looking for more info and want to stay up-to-date with industry news.

Study: Social media Affects SMB Purchasing Decisions
“Many people still think that the heaviest users of social media skew young. Myth. In fact, according to a recent analysis completed by Pingdom, the average social media user is 35-44 years old. It turns out that this demographic of decision makers is online looking for information about products and services giving B2B tech marketers a compelling reason to pursue online word of mouth as a key component of their go to market strategy.”

9 Ways to Sell Social Media to the Boss
“Conversations are happening online with or without you. This is one of the most frequently used social media sayings. If you’re engaging with social media for your company, it’s almost second nature. However, there are still many who are struggling to ‘sell’ social media to their executives.” If you’re one of these people that haven’t been convinced to jump on board and why it’s important- take a look at this article from Social Media Examiner!

7 Facebook Marketing Tips from the World’s Pros
At our GKIC monthly meeting (which we had this week) Facebook was brought up and how to correctly leverage the relationships you make on Facebook (and Twitter). By now, most understand that they need social media and it’s here to stay- but there is still some question in the “how” of it all. This article gives 7 great tips on how to use Facebook to it’s best use.

The New Digg is Live: What it Means for Digg and For You
Digg is certainly trying to take cues from Facebook and Twitter. Although I find their new redesign to be cleaner and more user-friendly, I don’t think they’ll ever rival the other big Social Media monsters in the industry. BUT, book marking sites like Digg are still important in your content marketing strategy.

Google Brings Voice Calling to Gmail
This new service allows you to “receive phone calls in your Gmail account with your Google Voice number. You can switch between your cell phone and Gmail, which is useful if you have bad cell coverage or a bad Internet connections.” Phone calls in the US are free.

Location Faceoff: Facebook Places vs. Foursquare
Last week Facebook rolled out their version of Foursquare, “Facebook Places.” And if you’re like me, that meant the death of anything Foursquare as it was just one more place to login and look at. I think Facebook hit a home run with this one… and Facebook certainly has a sense of humor- if you look at the icon for Facebook Places you will notice that it is a “4″ inside a square. :)

Facebook Chat to Drop IE6 Support
Oh- IE6 (Internet Explorer 6) … hopefully by Facebook dropping you so will the rest of the world!

Dicks Nanton Agency brands Andy Tolbert“I just got off the phone with a reporter for SmartMoney.com for an article about foreclosures that’s going to run on AOL.com in about 2 weeks! She found me by searching on Google and found the press release you did that announced me as a new “expert” for AgentDirectNews.com. Then she went to my website and liked what she saw so she called me up! Imagine, being quoted in an AOL Real Estate story…you can’t BUY that kind of exposure at any price! I knew I was making the right choice to work with you guys and now that has been confirmed ten fold! Thanks for all of your help!” - Andy Tolbert

Lindsay is the best Web marketer in the world. Our website is incredible…! -Don Bergis

“Thanks a lot for such a good work. Probably for you it was something that you just do all the time, but after I had so many unfortunate dealings with three of your predecessors and never felt quite satisfied, I can really appreciate and thank you for what you are doing with my new site.” -Jose Gomez

CNBC Contacted me because of Celebrity Sites®! I just wanted to take a moment to say WOW! My last website took many years and many versions to never quite get what I wanted. In less than 30 days you guys designed and built a brand new website that I love and now, not even 60 days since it’s been live, I’m starting to get calls from television producers! Just last week I got a call from CNBC because they were searching for financial experts to feature on a new show they are launching and they found me thanks to my new website. This is incredible, thanks so much for the great experience. Anyone who isn’t taking advantage of your unique expertise of Celebrity Branding business people online is missing the boat in many ways! - Brian Fricke, Owner, President
