I flew up here last night to visit my two best friends for the weekend – a nice little girls weekend and to take a much needed break for a day or two! Hopefully the weather for the weekend cooperates with our plans!

Google Brings Voice Calling to Gmail
This new service allows you to “receive phone calls in your Gmail account with your Google Voice number. You can switch between your cell phone and Gmail, which is useful if you have bad cell coverage or a bad Internet connections.” Phone calls in the US are free.
Location Faceoff: Facebook Places vs. Foursquare
Last week Facebook rolled out their version of Foursquare, “Facebook Places.” And if you’re like me, that meant the death of anything Foursquare as it was just one more place to login and look at. I think Facebook hit a home run with this one… and Facebook certainly has a sense of humor- if you look at the icon for Facebook Places you will notice that it is a “4″ inside a square.
