And although I have been to many of these conferences over the years, I always enjoy the little nuggets that I get. Whether a much needed reminder of something I’m currently not implementing or something new to take home, my father always said that if you can walk away from these trips with one nugget that you take home and implement than your trip was a success. I’ve gotten several- but here’s one I picked up very early in Dan’s presentation yesterday morning: Proprietary Language. (Now, keep in mind this is different than industry jargon.) Proprietary Language (specific terminology used to describe your group, your product, your niche) does two things for people who buy:
We learned as kids the difference of being an “insider” and an “outsider” and the products that do the best are the ones that inherently build the relationship with their prospect by creating a clear distinction of being “in the know.” This is why membership sites do so well. Are you currently using this in your business? What’s exclusive and VIP about what you currently offering? If the answer is ‘nothing,’ then maybe you should try it. Back to more learning! Just wanted to take a minute to thank Celebrity Sites. Making that first impression of what our business is about is very important.
Celebrity Sites has done more in just a couple of months than we did in the last 6 years which was nothing because we tried different things but were just were not on track. You knew where to start and how to get there in lighting speed. You guys not only listened to our ideas but gave some great ideas. Whenever we needed to talk to you, you were right there, by email or phone – you name it, you responded. We are so excited every day to see Larry’s Big Idea take shape. The website is second to none thanks to Lindsay and is improving weekly. The ideas that Jack and Nick come up with at each meeting are awesome.
