Lindsay’s SEO and SMM Alert – 11/19/10 Addition

Office one of the CRAZIEST weeks EVER, we just wrapped up shooting a TV show with Brian Tracy in our office, and amongst all of the craziness in our office my email decided to crash. Not the actually server, but all the emails “on my computer” that I save vanished… needless to say I was a little panicked.

However, after 2.5hrs on the phone with Microsoft (no, you’re not crazy I didn’t switch back to PC- I use Microsoft Entourage for Mac for my email) and them telling me that there was nothing that could be done and that “they were sorry” I figured it out and was able to restore my settings… WHEW!!

My PSA for this week is if you don’t back up your info- YOU NEED TOO! Time machine saved my life this week… even if neither Apple nor Microsoft could tell me how to use it… ultimately I was able to get it back.

Picture from this week will be up soon on Facebook so make sure to check them out at http://www.Facebook.com/LindsayDicks

Enjoy this week’s alerts!

Have a great weekend!
Lindsay

How to Get More Leads from Existing Content
“In an inbound marketing culture where there is a strong emphasis on the regular creation of fresh, original content, it’s easy to overlook the potential of evergreen content. Taking advantage of evergreen content, or content you previously published, can have a number of benefits. Due to the fact that you put a lot of thought, time, and effort into your content, it only makes sense to re-purpose it. Evergreen content may not be fresh, but it can still attract visitors to your website and generate leads for your business. We’ve discussed the basics of promoting evergreen content in social media before, so here are some tips for using landing pages and marketing analytics to derive more value from your evergreen content.”

Like any vehicle, it will run smoothly if and only if 1) the right fuel is used, 2) you make it a priority to maintain it, 3) and you have a great mechanic! As a business owner, having your team in place is critical to success. I was happy with my original website; giving birth to it was a process. But after a while, as it grows so do your needs. You change or your brand changes. It was not a coincidence that I met Lindsay Dicks from Celebrity Sites; it was time…call it synchronicity at work. I had been rethinking my website and needed to delegate more of what I was choosing not to do regarding social media and web maintenance. I have never been so impressed by their professionalism, dedication or follow-through. They are there at a moments notice to work through my questions, my ideas or concerns. I give them straight A pluses. They have me for LIFE. - Sallie Felton, Life Coach/Transition Specialist, International Talk Radio Host #1 Best Selling Author, IF I’M SO SMART, WHY CAN’T I GET RID OF THIS CLUTTER?

Dicks Nanton Agency brands Andy Tolbert“I just got off the phone with a reporter for SmartMoney.com for an article about foreclosures that’s going to run on AOL.com in about 2 weeks! She found me by searching on Google and found the press release you did that announced me as a new “expert” for AgentDirectNews.com. Then she went to my website and liked what she saw so she called me up! Imagine, being quoted in an AOL Real Estate story…you can’t BUY that kind of exposure at any price! I knew I was making the right choice to work with you guys and now that has been confirmed ten fold! Thanks for all of your help!” - Andy Tolbert

“It’s always scary changing your website even when you know you need an update. Lots of times you feel like you are on an island and the people developing your website could care less if they respond to your concerns or not. Not only did Lindsay and her staff stay in constant contact with me through the entire process, they responded immediately to each question, and improved on my own ideas for the site. They thought of things that I would have never considered and have also taken my haphazard social media postings and formed a consistent strategy that is sure to blow the doors off anything I have done before. I feel like I have gotten many times over my money’s worth already. Thanks Lindsay and team!” -Dr. Chris Griffin, Ripley, MS, The Capacity Academy
