Lindsay’s SEO and SMM Alerts – 9/17/10 Addition
I always love visiting Disney, it never ceases to amaze me the magic that they create for so many kids (both big and small). And, I specifically like visiting Disney because Walt’s vision and the people that now carry it out are truly the most gifted business people there are.
While walking to go stand in line with my 2½-year-old niece, Kendal, to meet “Mick-me” and her best friend Minnie, there was an area of the park that was being renovated. On the wall that they had put up to block out the “dust” they had posted quotes from Walt; my favorite, “You don’t build it for yourself. You know what the people want and you build it for them.”
This quote made me pause for a second (you can see a picture of it on my Facebook profile), how right Walt was so many years ago… and it still holds true today in ALL businesses. It was a wonderful reminder to me of why I do what I do. I do not build websites (or build people for that matter) for myself. I know what they want/need and I build it for them. I think that is why this is still fun for me; each day there is a new client and a new need and I enjoy building for them.
Walt, still teaching after so many years…
Have a great weekend and GO GATORS!
Until next time,
Lindsay
